The Apple Watch has caused quite a stir in London this week.
The long awaited smart-watch was available to buy in Dover Street Market, Mayfair London on Friday 24th. The pre-order sales hit over 1 million in the first day and now the excited consumers finally got their hands on their geeky gadget.
Apple have stylishly designed three watches; a sports watch priced at £299-£399, the standard watch at around £500 and the watch edition priced at a mega £8000-£9500.
According to Apple it’s features include, WIFI, Bluetooth, speaker and microphone, has up to 18 hours battery life and is water resistant.
It has been reported that the first man to buy a watch in Dover Street was Joseph, who had travelled from Spain to London so that he could get his hands on one. Joseph and his companion had travelled to London for a short break but conveniently, it coincided with the launch.
Joe Gerardi, a Remote Broadcast Communications Engineer said on twitter that he thinks it’s worth the money and the Delta App is great for checking in at the airport instead of using a boarding pass.
He continued by saying that the Weather Channel App had predicted the weather “dead on” when it predicted rain in 15 minutes.
Jeremy Goodson a business owner said, “I absolutely love mine! There is nothing so far that disappoints me. The price was well worth it. The battery is just OK!”
The impressive watch can even monitor your heart rate and send the beat to your loved ones.
Matthew Pack, CEO of Holiday Extras said: “I hardly touched my phone all weekend. It was a quick yes to this no to that, reply to a text, take me to this place – so clever”.
He added the watch is, “Very very much,” worth the price he paid.
