London Met’s Rocket Bar will host a fashion show fundraiser on the 2 May in support of the children’s charity Barnardo’s ‘Action with Young Carers’ project.

Promoters Proud Events are presenting a fantastic evening that aims to target two areas: helping Barnardo kids and showcasing the great talent of new up and coming designers who haven’t had the opportunity to demonstrate just how good they are.

The children’s charity that started in 1866 is keen on helping the lives of young carers living in the UK. Young people, under the age of 18, provide care to other family members who have a physical illness or disability, including mental health, sensory disability or drugs and alcohol dependency.

Events manager of the fashion show, Rocio Sarriegui Zulueta, 20, said the event was a brilliant way to help kids: “I believe this is going to open new doors to people who wasn’t sure about their skills as we trust people who want to engage in this fantastic campaign to help kids. We need to think how much can Barnardo’s do with each pound we give to them.”

It’s a great opportunity for fresh and talented designers, models, photographers and make-up artists, who want to get experience in the fashion world, to get noticed while making a contribution to society. Marketing manager Kezia Gorman, 21, confirmed: “Since I heard about that opportunity I started to get excited. This is the best opportunity to show how young people are committed with charities. We want to show that we care and that people like us care more than what you think.”
